In Linden Market, Julian’s TexMex recently changed its name to AC’s TexMex, but, according to the restaurant, everything on the menu will remain the same … Five Guys Burgers and Fries opened its first city-wide location in Linden Market in November … Bank of the West inside Hy-Vee closed in November. The ATM is still active and a branch of the bank is just across 132nd street on California drive … A renovation project at the Jewish Community Center is scheduled for completion in April. The Rose Blumkin Jewish Home is undergoing a complete renovation, which will soon house a “main street” entrance with little shops for residents and a playground for children; it’s a “model of a place” according to JCC Membership Director Denise Ipock … Down the road at Miracle Hills Square, Kohll’s Pharmacy and Homecare underwent a facelift; the new location across 114th street at Miracle Hills Park was finished in December and will provide a larger retail store ... McDonald’s on the North corner of 114th and Dodge reopened in November with a new look — two drive-thrus, a kitschy café atmosphere featuring art on the walls and free WiFi access … The Convenient Food Mart at 144th and Blondo, will reopen in January as Jet Express, a convenience mart/gas station by the owners of the same-named shop on 85th and Blondo. In Pepperwood Village, Sunshine Stitches, a full service sewing shop, re-opened and provides a larger area for sewing classes and more retail space … A free Douglas County Prescription Discount Card is now available to all Douglas County residents.
